The Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan’s Camp Discovery has proven to be a life-changing event for campers and volunteers alike. Youth ages 8-17 with epilepsy spend 5 days and 4 nights enjoying all the activities that camp has to offer, including rock wall climbing, canoeing, horseback riding, swimming in a lake and an Olympic-sized swimming pool, arts & crafts, forming life-long friendships and much more. |

When asked if they would recommend Camp Discovery to other youth, one camper said: “YES. I would tell them that it’s a good place to go and that it will help you understand epilepsy better. AND IT IS A LOT OF FUN. And you will want to go back the next year!”
When asked if they would recommend volunteering at Camp Discovery, one volunteer said: “I would and always do recommend volunteering at Camp Discovery. I always tell people that it is an unforgettable week. It is a week where you will smile until your cheeks hurt, be goofy and it really doesn't matter, have a blast, and walk away having impacted kids, but also always being impacted by kids.” |
