Russell Derry, MPH, Director of Education

Russell Derry, MPH has been a part of the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan team since 2000. He has a Master of Public Health in Health Behavior & Health Education and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, both from the University of Michigan.
Russ is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Foundation’s educational programs. In addition, his public health background has led him to work toward establishing epilepsy as a public health priority in Michigan.
Russ is married with two children and lives in Ann Arbor. His interests include music, soccer, photography, cooking, and all things relating to nature.
“Working at the Foundation allows me to develop new programs based on scientific evidence and input from the population we serve. I also get to work directly with people with epilepsy and family members to help them better manage this complex condition. In both ways, I feel I can make a difference in people's lives.”
