Special Thanks...

The Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan would like to offer a very special thanks to Roger Vuylsteke and Frank Aron for their ingenious way to fund the Dakota Pequeno Memorial Scholarship.  Created in 2012, these two gentleman built a self-serve snack bar that they operate at their place of employment.  All proceeds go directly towards the Scholarship Fund.  Thank you, Roger & Frank for what you are doing to further the education of youth with epilepsy and the beautiful way you are continuing Dakota's legacy.

About Dakota...
Dakota Ruby Pequeno, known as Cody to family and friends, was a normal 16-year-old looking forward to her senior year. She enjoyed playing Powder Puff football, participating in the school talent contest, singing songs from her favorite movie Rocky Horror Picture Show and listening to Evanescence and Slipknot. But epilepsy claimed her life.

In an effort to ensure her memory lives on, the family of Dakota established the Dakota Pequeno Memorial Scholarship. It is their way of giving an opportunity to others who aspire to do great things in life--just like Dakota.
